뉴질랜드 첫 여행 준비: NZeTA부터 입국신고, 항공편과 날씨까지

1. 한국 여권으로 여행하신다면 NZeTA부터 살펴보세요
한국은 뉴질랜드 비자 면제 대상 국가에 포함됩니다. 요건을 갖춘 한국 여권 여행자는 일반적인 단기 방문 시 사전에 NZeTA를 받고 출발하며, 입국 심사에서 허가되면 보통 최대 3개월의 Visa Waiver Visitor Visa를 받습니다. NZeTA 승인이 입국 자체를 보장하는 것은 아닙니다. 다른 여권으로 여행한다면 한국 거주 여부가 아니라 실제 사용할 여권의 국적에 따라 확인하세요. INZ 비자 면제 국가

2. eVisa와 여권에 적힌 조건을 함께 확인하세요

3. 무료 입국신고서 NZTD는 가족도 한 명씩 작성합니다

4. 음식과 야외 장비는 짐을 쌀 때 따로 챙겨 두세요

Your first trip to New Zealand: NZeTA, arrival declaration, flights, exchange rates and weather
Planning a New Zealand trip introduces unfamiliar names such as NZeTA, eVisa and the traveller declaration. Start with your passport and entry requirements, then work through flights and accommodation before packing and completing the paperwork.
This guide is for Republic of Korea ordinary-passport holders planning a short holiday or family visit. The official information was checked on 29 September 2026. Other nationalities and those planning a longer stay, work or study need to check the permission required for their circumstances.
1. Check whether you need an NZeTA
South Korea is on New Zealand's visa-waiver list. Eligible Korean-passport visitors normally obtain an NZeTA before departure and may receive a Visa Waiver Visitor Visa for up to three months at the border. An NZeTA does not guarantee entry. An NZeTA is an electronic travel authority. Its two-year validity for ordinary travellers does not permit a continuous two-year stay. Allow 72 hours for processing. 2. Understand what an eVisa means
An eVisa is a visa issued and recorded electronically. Read its arrival dates and conditions, print the approval letter, and update the visa record if you replace your passport. INZ eVisas

3. Complete the free NZTD for each traveller
A visa or NZeTA does not replace the NZTD. Babies and children need individual declarations. Air travellers can submit from 24 hours before beginning their journey to New Zealand and must finish before passport control. 4. Prepare food and fishing gear for declaration
Packaged food can require declaration. Inspect snacks and ingredients; declaration does not automatically mean an item is permitted. Officials decide after inspection. Declare anything uncertain. Customs restrictions

5. Compare flights for your actual dates

Compare arrival dates, operating airlines, nonstop status, baggage and change/refund terms. Check special-baggage rules before paying if you bring a long fishing rod. 6. Distinguish reference rates from actual costs
Draft your budget in NZD before converting to won. RBNZ publishes NZD rates against major currencies. Your actual card-payment or cash-exchange cost depends on your bank or card provider's NZD/KRW rate and fees. Note the calculation date to help with later comparisons. 7. Check both the season and the forecast
